Description - Special Events
Kid Castle branches organize events from time
to time throughout the year in which students take part, from Christmas
and Halloween pageants to speech competitions, graduation ceremonies
and so forth.
Foreign Teachers are asked to be involved with these events, both
in their preparation and participation. Preparation typically involves
decorating the school or designing activities relating to the event.
Participation involves going along and having fun!
Typically, these events are special occasions
for students and by attending, foreign teachers can take part in
a unique experience that is not afforded by the regular teaching
schedule.
Kid Castle preschools organize fieldtrips or outings
during the semester. Foreign teachers help chaperone and more importantly,
take the opportunity to make some real conversation with the students.

There will be times when the branch will ask the
teacher to do a "demo" lesson or "open house".
These typically fall within normal working hours, but if not, they
will be paid extra.
There may also be times when the teacher is asked
if they would like to help out at other events such as company promotions
and demos for new schools. These events (which are voluntary) also
provide the teacher with extra income.
